I give thanks every day for all that has been given and for all that has been taken away. For me, giving thanks “In Everything” is what clears my path to move forward. It has been quite a journey for me, but I am excited to share and be here with you.
As a very young child my favorite tv shows were Mr. Rogers, Sesame Street, and Bob Ross – in that order. I remember immediately after watching Bob Ross I would grab whatever I could find as paper and paint to create my piece. Obviously, not one of those pieces looked anything like what Mr. Ross was instructing that day, but it was my masterpiece, and I knew what each one meant.
I have since dedicated twenty-eight amazing years of my career in Information Technology and have worked for some great companies. Through the years I somehow found a way to implement my passion for art.
How you ask? Company Events, Presentations, Trainings, Demonstrations, etc. My favorite one of all… a company I was working for at the time was participating in the local Christmas Parade; Yes! On the home front I was doing the same thing. I implemented art in my home, and I enjoyed hosting and assisting anyone for events and parties.
Art is a relationship for me. I paint purely out of passion and emotion. Recently I have reconnected with my love of painting and have been exploring the different techniques and mediums with acrylic paints. Although I sketch and draw, I tend to have a niche for abstract art.
The freedom of the color pours and brush strokes are exhilarating! It’s a movement and an emotional connection. Colors, lines, and shapes work elaborately to come together to create an experience, expand the imagination and evoke a memory. Ultimately, it sets the mood.
I cherish and nurture every step of the way in my continued Perfectly Imperfect journey to evolve in style and quality. Most of all, it is gratifying to know how my art benefits others.
